Organisations and Mission

As well as gathering for worship every Sunday, our church offers many activities throughout the week where Christian fellowship can be found.

Bourock Church also has a long tradition of work in the community and beyond.

There are organisations for all age groups and links for each can be found by clicking the relevant logo (where available).

Mission and Outreach projects can also be accessed in this manner.

Junior Church is for boys and girls of Nursery age up. Come and join in the fun, singing and learn about Jesus.

The Variety Club is an amateur dramatic fellowship for members and friends of Bourock Parish Church, which produces an annual show.

In June 2006 eight members of Bourock Parish Church visited Kibera. The trip was an emotional and life-changing experience for all the visitors. Subsequently, a partnership was drawn up between the Christian communities in Barrhead and Kibera.

Legacy Mission

Over the years Bourock Church has run several Mission projects, impacting the town of Barrhead and beyond. Below are just a few.

Soup Stop ran every Friday from 2008 until the COVID pandemic in 2020. During this time, over £108,000 was donated to various charities.

As well as this, the “Soup Stop Ladies” were congratulated in the UK Parliament for their work and won an “All About Barrhead” award in 2020.

In 1998, the children of Junior Church decided to support “Operation Christmas Child” and each class sent a shoe box.

The following year, the children invited the congregation to help with their project and received a great response.

Junior Church subsequently sent 5,297 boxes overseas to children who would otherwise receive nothing at Christmas. Donations of £13,926.15 were also made to this worthy cause.
